Transcripts

Transcripts from The University of Texas at Tyler can be obtained through a variety of methods. Students can receive transcripts through their myUTTyler account, in-person, or through online orders.

Official Transcripts

  • An official transcript is a comprehensive representation of a student's academic record.
  • Official transcripts include your name as listed on your myUTTyler account, your academic progress, TSI test scores, and core curriculum information, if available. Printed hard copy transcripts, electronic transcripts, and Fed Ex delivery service are all available online through Parchment/Credential Solutions, Inc.

Requesting an Official Transcript

As of March 10, 2021, UTTyler is using Parchment/Credential Solutions, Inc. for transcript requests to streamline the transcript process and offer services such as 24/7 secure access compatible with all mobile and tablet devices, 24/7 online order status and tracking, and automated electronic delivery acknowledgement. Transcripts will no longer be printed on campus and will originate from an off-site location after a request is made. It will no longer be possible to pick up a transcript in-person on the same day of your request.

Printed hard copy transcripts, electronic transcripts, and Fed Ex delivery service are all available online through Parchment/Credential Solutions, Inc.

Holds

Students with the following holds cannot get an official transcript until their holds are cleared.

  • Financial Hold
  • Police Department Hold

Note: Requests from students with no holds and/or issues within their request, will be sent within the hour of the order being processed. Students with a ‘transcript-hold’ will be able to request a transcript online, but the transcript request will not be completed until the hold is resolved. If a student with one of these holds requests a transcript, they have thirty days to get the hold resolved, otherwise the transcript request will be void. For help resolving these holds please contact the One-Stop, 903-566-7180.

Unofficial Transcripts

  • An unofficial transcript is the student's academic record without signature, seal, date, or sealed envelope.
  • Unofficial transcripts include your name as listed on your myUTTyler account, your academic progress, test scores including TSI and core curriculum information if available.

Requesting an Unofficial Transcript

Unofficial transcripts are freely available to students through their myUTTyler account. The University of Texas at Tyler does not take requests for unofficial transcripts. If a student needs an unofficial transcript they can access it through their myUTTyler account. If a student needs help accessing their myUTTyler account, they can contact our IT department.

Notarized Transcripts

If you require notarized transcripts, you may order them in person or through Parchment. To begin the Notarized Transcript Process, please proceed to our Parchment Transcript Ordering Page. Then retrieve the Notarized Transcript Form, and email it to Transcripts@uttyler.edu.

Ordering Notarized Transcripts:
An order may need to be placed in advance due to the availability of notaries, and drastic shipping times. Please allow for shipping delays; you may send the Office of Enrollment Services a prearranged Shipping Label at your own cost if an expedited or international address is necessary.

Before making arrangements to pick up a notarized transcript in person or by a trusted and pre-approved third-party, please submit a signed notarized transcript order form to Transcripts@uttyler.edu and designate that you would like to pick up the transcript when it’s ready. If you are sending a proxy, submit the Proxy Authorization Form and wait to hear back that the proxy can pick up the notarized transcript.

If an apostille is needed, contact the Texas Secretary of State office.

Ordering a Notarized Transcript via Email or Mail:

Submit a signed notarized transcript order form by email to Transcripts@uttyler.edu or by mail to:

The University of Texas at Tyler

3900 University Blvd

Attn: STE 230, Enrollment Services

Tyler, TX 75799

Transcripts sent to incomplete addresses provided on the order form may cause delivery delays or returns by U.S. Postal Service. Address errors may require a new order with payment if the transcript is not received. Review addresses carefully before submitting transcript request. Payment instructions are provided on the transcript order form.

Transcripts are sent by U.S. First Class Standard mail or Foreign Air mail and cannot be tracked. For domestic mail, allow at least two (2) weeks for delivery. For international mail, allow at least four (4) weeks for delivery. If you need to expedite/track a transcript in the mail, see the Expedited Delivery section for more information.
If your notarized transcript requires an apostille, mark where indicated on the transcript order form. Include final destination address and what country the document will be filed in. Complete the Texas Secretary of State Request for Official Certificate or Apostille form and submit it to our office with the transcript order form. Once the transcript order form is processed, the notarized transcript and your request for apostille form will be mailed to the Texas Secretary of State Authentications Unit.

The Texas Secretary of State office does not pay for postage. If you want your transcript to be delivered to the destination address from the Texas Secretary of State office, a USPS Priority, UPS, FedEx, or DHL shipping label must be submitted to our office along with the transcript order form. See the Expedited Delivery section for information on shipping labels. If a shipping label is not provided, we will instruct the Texas Secretary of State office to return your apostilled transcript to our office via interagency mail (postage not required). When we receive the apostilled transcript you will be notified, and we will mail it to the address you provided via U.S. First Class Standard mail or Foreign Air mail with no tracking.
