Message from the President
The campuses of The University of Texas at Tyler exist to improve the lives of people and raise the standard of living in East Texas.
Thank you, citizens of Palestine, Texas, and students of Anderson and adjoining counties for your support of The University of Texas at Tyler Palestine Campus. Your encouragement and efforts, combined with the talent and dedication of our faculty, have assured that this campus will take its place among the best educational institutions anywhere.
Because of the endowment of the Memorial Hospital Foundation and the foresight of the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Lee Roy Mathis, students can apply for excellent endowed scholarships. Because of the success of live classes and interactive video technology, students on this campus have access to resources of The University of Texas at Tyler which includes: degrees in nursing and business and classes in technology, health and kinesiology and liberal arts. And, because providing quality higher education is our priority, all the elements are in place to students to pursue excellence in education at this campus.
The campuses of The University of Texas at Tyler exist to improve the lives of people and raise the standard of living in East Texas. Educating students, conducting research, providing cultural benefits, helping attract industry, and engaging in meaningful public outreach to those in need serve to accomplish its mission.
