Students transferring from another institution of higher education and re-entering college have different needs and concerns from first-time college students.  UT Tyler has created an orientation program specifically for transfer students and re-entering students to prepare them for life as a Patriot.

When is New Patriot Orientation for transfer students?

Summer 2014:

June 4 (open to all transfer students entering in summer 2014 or fall 2014)

August 20 (open to all transfer students entering in fall 2014)

Will I be getting anything in the mail?

All transfer students who have been officially accepted to UT Tyler will receive a postcard and email inviting them to register for New Patriot Orientation.

May I bring family members or other guests with me to New Patriot Orientation?

Yes, we hope you will. You may include them with your registration.

Do I need to register in advance for New Patriot Orientation?

Yes. Students and guests can register together here.

Will I be advised during New Patriot Orientation?

No, you will not be advised during New Patriot Orientation.  We recommend that all students who have questions about their schedule, classes, or advising contact their department's academic advisor for an appointment as soon as possible.

Is New Patriot Orientation mandatory?
