What is Patriot*Air?

Patriot*Air is the wireless network at The University of Texas at Tyler. The wireless network uses 802.1b/g to allow the members of the UT Tyler community to connect to the UT Tyler network
using wireless devices. Patriot*Air is available in various buildings around the UT Tyler campus.
Future plans include expanded coverage and 802.11n capability.

Will Patriot*Air work on my computer?

Patriot*Air will work on any computer (Mac or PC) equipped with at least 802.11b "WiFi" Card.
To access the secure network you must have a wireless card capable of at least 802.11b/g.
Computers equipped with 802.11a/b/g/n cards are supported as well. If you have any questions
or are having trouble connecting you may bring your laptop to the computer lab in BUS 101.

How do I connect?

Turn on your wireless device and select the Patriot*Air wireless network. Once you are connected
to the network open your Web browser and you will be redirected to the Patriot*Air Log In page.

After reading through the caution, warning and log-in instructions log in using your Patriot Domain
credentials. If you do not know your username and password they may be obtained by calling
903.565.5555, emailing or visiting the computer lab in BUS 101.

Usage may be subject to security testing and monitoring. Abuse is subject to criminal prosecution. Your use of this system indicates that you have read and agree to all aspects of the UT Tyler Information Technology Acceptable Use Policy or the UT Tyler Student Acceptable Use Policy.
