UT Tyler Recreational Sports

HPC Memberships

  • Students - No additional charge to currently enrolled students who pay the Recreation Facility Fee noted in the Tuition and Mandatory Fees section of the 2010-2012 Undergraduate and Graduate Catalog.
  • Longview Students - have access to the Good Shepherd Institute for Healthy Living for their fitness needs. Contact 903.323.6511 for more details.
  • UT Tyler Faculty/Staff - (full or part-time) $50 for each semester and/or $50 for the summer. Full amount payable at the beginning of each semester or $12.50 monthly by payroll deduction for UT Tyler Employees.
  • Spouse and/or Dependent Children of UT Tyler Faculty/Staff/Student - (requires faculty/staff/current student membership) $50 for each semester and/or $50 for the summer. Full amount payable at the beginning of each semester or $12.50 monthly by payroll deduction for UT Tyler employees only.
  • UT Tyler Alumni - (with paid UT Tyler Alumni Association Dues) $30/month with a six month commitment. Full amount payable at the beginning of the six month membership or payable monthly by credit card draft.
  • UT Tyler Alumni and Spouse and/or Dependent Children - (with paid UT Tyler Alumni Association Dues) $50/month with a six month commitment. Full amount payable at the beginning of the six month membership or payable monthly by credit card draft.
  • UT Tyler Retired Faculty/Staff - $50 for each semester and/or $50 for the summer. Full amount payable at the beginning of each semester. Must be paid up front.
  • UT Tyler Retired Faculty or Staff and Spouse -  (requires current Retired Faculty/Staff membership) $50 for each semester and/or $50 for the summer. Full amount payable at the beginning of each semester.

Community Memberships (Limited to 50 Memberships during Fall and Spring Semesters)

  • 1 Month Membership (Can be purchased at any time)
    • Individual = $45
    • Individual + others = $45 + $20 extra for spouse and each dependent child.
  • 3 Month Commitment Membership (Discount Rate; MUST PAY UP FRONT)
    • Individual = $120
  • Individual + others = $120 + $45 for spouse and each dependent child.

60+ Senior Membership  (Restricted hours)

  • $50 for each semester and/or $50 for the summer. Full amount payable at the beginning of each semester.
  • Additional $50 for each semester and/or $50 for the summer for adding spouse to the membership.
  • This membership is restricted to facility use 6 a.m. -3 p.m. Monday- Friday; full availabilty on weekends.

Membership Policies:

  • Memberships are not pro-rated for those who join during the month.
  • Current UT Tyler or HPC Membership ID cards required for all members.
  • Guest Passes: $5-One (1) Day Pass; All guests must be accompanied by a current HPC member at all times. Limit of two (2) guests per HPC Membership. Guests under the age of three (3) are free - limit of one (1) guest. Additional guests under the age of three (3) will be charged the daily fee
  • Semester Dates: Fall: Sept. – Dec., Spring: Jan. – Apr., Summer: May – Aug.
  • Children under 16 years of age MUST be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times and may only use the gymnasium and swimming pool when these areas are designated as open for free play or use by children under 16 years of age.
  • The Herrington Patriot Center does not provide child care services. Children under 16 years of age may not wait in the facility for parents while they work out.
  • Protective eye wear must be worn at all times in the racquetball courts.
  • Lockers and Towel Service may be purchased for $10 or $20 for a semester
  • Vehicles must have a valid parking permit issued by UT Tyler Police Department.
