Scholarships
New Freshman Scholarship
New freshmen who are accepted for admission and confirm their intention to enroll prior to May 1 will be considered for an academic scholarship. Scholarship funds are limited and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Scholarship applications are not required.
All new freshman scholarships are renewable for 3 consecutive academic years following the initial award. No application is required for renewal.
Students may receive only one of the following awards:
National Merit/Achievement Finalists
Award amount covers full tuition, fees, books, room and board. To qualify, students must be National Merit/Achievement finalists
To renew scholarship, students must:
- Complete 12 credit hours at UT Tyler for the semester(s) awarded.
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA at UT Tyler.
Amount covers full tuition, fees and books. To qualify students must be National Merit/Achievement semi-finalists.
To renew scholarship, students must:
- Complete 12 credit hours at UT Tyler for the semester(s) awarded.
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA at UT Tyler.
Amount: $4,000
- Based on ACT/SAT scores and high school transcript.
- ACT - 29+
- SAT - 1920+
To renew scholarship students must:
- Complete 12 credit hours at UT Tyler for the semester(s) awarded.
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA at UT Tyler.
Patriot Scholarship
Amount: $3,000
- Based on ACT/SAT scores and high school transcript
- ACT 26 - 28
- SAT - 1760 - 1910
To renew scholarship, students must:
- Complete 12 credit hours at UT Tyler for the semester(s) awarded.
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA at UT Tyler.
Achievement Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
- Based on ACT/SAT scores and high school transcript.
- ACT - 24 - 25
- SAT - 1650 - 1750
To renew scholarship, students must:
- Complete 12 credit hours at UT Tyler for the semester(s) awarded.
- Maintain a minimum of 2.0 GPA at UT Tyler.
