ITV For Faculty
Being An ITV Instructor
Being an ITV instructor allows students to choose from a wide range of courses at our ITV locations giving them cost-saving convenience, greater flexibility in scheduling your classes, and the ability to reduce travel expenses and commuting time to Tyler.
You will be able to see and communicate with students in remote locations with the aid of Panoramic cameras, large television monitors, projectors and sensitive sound equipment.

ITV mail is sent and delivered to Longview, Palestine and Tyler on Monday, Wednesday and Friday via our courier service, Velocity Express. They normally pick up outgoing ITV mail from the UT Tyler Campus between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. with a delivery to the remote sites by 2 p.m. on the following scheduled delivery day. ITV mail being sent from Longview is normally picked up around 11 a.m. and delivered to the UT Tyler campus by 11 a.m. ITV mail being sent from Palestine is normally picked up around 2 p.m. and delivered to the UT Tyler campus around 11 a.m. ETS logs all incoming and outgoing mail, after which it is delivered to the appropriate instructor's mailbox.
A log of outgoing mail is maintained at each of the mailboxes. ITV mail is picked up from these mailboxes between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Mail that needs to be sent out should be placed in the ITV mailboxes by 11 a.m. to ensure delivery. The mailbox locations are as follows:
ADM 310, BRB 2205, BUS 251, HPR 226, BEP 247B, BUS 145, HPC 3065
Your ITV Classroom Assistant
You will be assigned an ITV classroom assistant who will provide support to you and your students during class by monitoring and troubleshooting the ITV classroom equipment. The classroom assistant is also responsible for faxing documents to the ITV remote site locations, making copies, delivering papers to the students, proctoring exams and operating the equipment.

The Northeast Texas Consortium or "NETnet" is the collaborative effort of 15 higher education institutions to bring a wide array of educational opportunities to 50 rural Northeast Texas counties. Distance Education Clearinghouse
The Distance Education Clearinghouse is a comprehensive and widely recognized website bringing together distance education information from national and international sources. New information and resources are being added to the Distance Education Clearinghouse on a continual basis. The Clearinghouse is managed and maintained by the University of Wisconsin-Extension, in cooperation with its partners and other University of Wisconsin institutions.
