Surveying and Mapping Emphasis
The 2+2 Articulated Surveying & Mapping Emphasis allows students to complete an associate degree in surveying & mapping and then transfer it towards a bachelor of science degree in technology. Students may finish the general education core curriculum at UT Tyler or transfer core complete from another college or university. A student must be core complete before enrolling at UT Tyler or s/he will then have to follow the core curriculum from UT Tyler.
Finishing the four-year degree at UT Tyler allows students to meet one of the state requirements before taking and passing the exam to become a registered professional land surveyor. Most students finishing the 2+2 articulated degree pass on the first attempt.
NOTE: A minimum of 120 total semester credit hours are required to graduate. At least 14 courses must be upper division courses.
