Jerre IversenJerre Iversen has been in professional fundraising since 1982. After eight years in hospital development as a consultant, he went to Baylor College Medicine in Houston as director of major gifts and second-in-command of development operations. He then became executive director of development at Georgetown University Medical Center.

From there he went to Yale University School of Medicine as executive director of development.In 2001 he returned to Texas as vice president of development at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.Under his leadership, volunteers and advancement staffs have raised half a billion dollars for education and medical research.

Highlights include a $175-million campaign at Baylor College of Medicine ($182 million raised); setting a new fundraising record for Yale University School of Medicine (final year there realized $77 million); a $200-million campaign at The University of Texas Health Science Center at  Houston ($204 million raised); and more than doubling the fund raising totals at Georgetown University Medical Center.
